Inhale, exhale…

Lately, I feel like I’m constantly reminding myself to breathe. :)

First of all, this is not a guidebook for how to prepare SAT or IELTS. I didn’t take those exams yet, I’m not even sure if I can get the scores I want to get. But I’ve been want to take the SAT for a long time, not just to apply to a college, it’s become a challenge for me as well. If you’ve read my last blog, you know that I am a self-learner programmer -maybe it’s not to best to call myself a ‘programmer’ at this time -will do in a couple months 😼- but I know you guys understand what I meant, lol- and it’s been decided, this will be my career path.

Since I said to myself “ok, Beyza… This is your way girl, you have to keep up the good work. Buy more coffee, sleep less and under-fricking-stand how things work in this programming world.” lots of things changed. For example, we became a symbiote with my laptop. I miss her when I’m away. And I took enough notes to turned them into a big fat book. I learned how to use github and created some repos. And all these things I counted made me think, “Should I move abroad?”

Actually, this thought has been on my mind for a while. And actually there’s a funny attempt for this, I’ll talk about this later. But when you feel like you’re at a milestone, the thoughts on your mind getting more realistic and you keep reminding yourself maybe I should get out of my comfort-zone and do bigger things.

So, for this reason, I decided to take a few exams. You know, I’m just trying to create different options for myself. Because this time, I will use my opportunities.

Most of you probably heard about SAT and IELTS. SAT is a test that is required to be taken by students seeking admission to undergraduate schools. IELTS is also a test is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. Taking these exams isn’t the only way to build a career living abroad maybe this can be a complex way, but my own research shows that this probably one of the most effective way to build a career in abroad. Let me say this again, this is just an option, of course there’ll be different ways that works for you.

When this is the case, sometimes I feel that this busyness makes me tired. The greed of the compulsion to achieve can be overwhelming. Even though I sometimes remind myself to give up on long-term goals and try to finish your day in the most effective way, I feel that the same passion is taking over me again after a very short time. Unlike many people, I don’t think it’s a negative emotion. I have to admit that taking responsibility and working hard for a goal was something I hadn’t done properly before.

Yes, it’s good to breathe, but it’s better to burst into laughter because you’re out of breath. :)
